Costa Rica Hideaways Update

Greetings from Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast and Los Suenos Resort and Marina. How green it is! We have had a ton of rain and more to come but the rain forest and the views this time of the year are awesome.

The sport fishing at Los Suenos resort has been good but will get a lot better when the season starts in December. Unfortunately the rains have produced many trash lines of trees that can present a navigational hazard but are also havens for Mahi and Wahoo. Our Los Suenos Charter boats have seen three to six sailfish per day but the Mahi seems to be here in large numbers.

Costa Rica Hideaways has a new boat joining us this year, the 40 foot Luhrs "Hot Reels". We are very excited and this is another first class sport fisher that will provide a great day of sport fishing to our guests. Our charter fleet and luxury condos and homes are pre-booking for the 2008 season now so make your plans in advance to reserve the perfect week for your winter vacation in sunny Costa Rica at Los Suenos Resort and Marina.

Labor Day party at Los Suenos Resort

Labor Day weekend at Los Suenos Resort is a great way to end the summer. Costa Rica Hideaways, along with two more local companies, are putting on one heck of a party for the holiday weekend and would like to invite everyone to come down and experience a party in paradise.

This is such a good time to be in Costa Rica. The rain forest is full of life, the surf is good, the marlin and sailfish are still here in good numbers and the afternoons are nice and cool, perfect for a round of golf on the Los Suenos 18 hole Championship golf course .

What an awesome week here at Los Suenos Resort and Marina. The chancellor of East Carolina Universty Dr. Steve Ballard and Director of Athletics Terry Holland along with their wives had an awesome vacation with Costa Rica Hideaways. These guys truly had the Pirate spirit.

They had a beautiful Bella Vista condo with breathtaking views of the beach and the marina and all the luxury one could expect from our rentals. The week was spent sport fishing, golfing, spa treatments, and of course, rain forest adventure tours.

The highlight of the week was getting this gang out sport fishing with the Costa Rica Hideaways fleet. Mrs. Nancy Holland landed her first Rooster fish early in the morning . She was an awesome angler. The fish weighed in at 58 pounds and put up a great fight.

In the afternoon we headed offshore to put these guys on some bill fish and hopefully a shot at a Marlin. Dr. Ballard was fast to hook up with a monster sailfish that refused to come to the boat. The fight lasted almost an hour and Dr. Ballard proved to be a great cockpit guy as well as an awesome angler. With all the fun and action during their trip it will have this group ready to start the E.C.U. year right and put the fight into this year's football season at East Carolina.

Terry and Dr. Ballard are very impressive people and had the trip of a lifetime here in Costa Rica at Los Suenos Resort. Have a great season guys!

Costa Rica Hideaways hosts the Inglish Family from Sealy, Texas

The Inglish family from Texas hit Los Suenos Resort and Marina with Costa Rica Hideaways on their tour of Central America. They say things are bigger and better in Texas and this family proves it. Mr. Gary Inglish requested the Marbella Condominium with the best view in Los Suenos and a couple of days offshore fishing with the Costa Rica Hideaways sport fishing fleet.

As soon as they got here they did not stop. Sport fishing, canopy tours, beach club, ATV mountain excursion, the casino, etc. just to name some of the fun things they experienced in the first few days. The family experienced the local cuisine nightly at Playa Herradura, Jaco and Hermosa along with the true Costa Rica culture.

When the gang finally did decide to take a day to rest they kicked back at the Los Suenos spa and received what Mrs. Inglish called 'the best hot rock massage ever'. While on the boat the next day the daughter Kate held her own against a Pacific Sailfish. Kate is a professional volleyball player and is a true athlete so the Sailfish did not stand a chance. It is so awesome to see the ladies into this fun sport fishing action here at Los Suenos Resort .

This family truly had a luxury vacation that you would expect at any finest five star hotel in the world. After the week was over the Inglish family was heading down to Panama for another five days before heading back to Texas. Mr. Inglish wants to come back for the Los Suenos Billfish Tournament with a few friends in January to compete for the big money. With a team like these guys I would say they have great shot at it.

Costa Rica Hideaways caters to Capt. Don and 'Hook the Future'

On 5/26/07, Costa rica Hideaways was proud to have Capt. Don Dingman from Jacksonnville,FL and host of the popular fishing show "Hook the Future" here with us in late May.

Don and his film crew were supplied with a luxury condo and our new 42' sport fisher for a day of filming for his upcoming TV season. They got a great show. His film crew were positioned around the boat and got some great footage of the days hookups. The morning was good with six to ten big snapper and the afternoon produced two sailfish that put on a awesome display for the cameras. These pacific sailfish are hugh showoffs! It is going to be a great show and everyone should look for it to air in August on the Sportsman Channel, The water Channel and CCS. Don could not believe how awesome Los Suenos Resort was and was loving the first class service that he received from the Costa Rica Hideaways team.

Don also booked a trip with us for next year to do a TV show on Costa Rica marlin fishing and luxury travel destinations.

Cohen family has the time of their life at Los Suenos and with Costa Rica Hideaways

The Cohen family spent their vacation this year with Costa Rica Hideaways at Los Suenos Resort and Marina. This was a group that knew how to have fun. They requested a helicopter to take them from the San Jose Airport down to Los Suenos for a 20 min breathtaking ride over the mountains. After they got settled into their ocean front luxury condo they took a few hours to explore before having a chef prepare the best steak dinner ever on the patio under the stars.

The next day the kids spent the day in the pool and the beach club while the rest of the group headed offshore for a day of Costa Rica sport fishing. The fishing has been slow this year at Los Suenos Resort but Mr.Cohen was hooked up on a marlin within the first two hours. He had the fight of his life. Captain Ryan H. Britt was fast to release six more sailfish in the afternoon. The rest of the week was a trip to the spa, golf, sport fishing, shopping and relaxing on the beach. We hated to see the family leave but I know they will be back soon. This was a vacation that gave them memories of a lifetime.

Mr., Cohen said - "The Bahamas has nothing on this place. I am already planning my trip for next season. Costa Rica Hideaways is our Los Suenos Connection for travel to Costa Rica."
