ECU staff spend a week at Costa Rica Hideaways

Go Pirates!

What an awesome week here at Los Suenos Resort and Marina. The chancellor of East Carolina Universty Dr. Steve Ballard and Director of Athletics Terry Holland along with their wives had an awesome vacation with Costa Rica Hideaways. These guys truly had the Pirate spirit.

They had a beautiful Bella Vista condo with breathtaking views of the beach and the marina and all the luxury one could expect from our rentals. The week was spent sport fishing, golfing, spa treatments, and of course, rain forest adventure tours.

The highlight of the week was getting this gang out sport fishing with the Costa Rica Hideaways fleet. Mrs. Nancy Holland landed her first Rooster fish early in the morning . She was an awesome angler. The fish weighed in at 58 pounds and put up a great fight.

In the afternoon we headed offshore to put these guys on some bill fish and hopefully a shot at a Marlin. Dr. Ballard was fast to hook up with a monster sailfish that refused to come to the boat. The fight lasted almost an hour and Dr. Ballard proved to be a great cockpit guy as well as an awesome angler. With all the fun and action during their trip it will have this group ready to start the E.C.U. year right and put the fight into this year's football season at East Carolina.

Terry and Dr. Ballard are very impressive people and had the trip of a lifetime here in Costa Rica at Los Suenos Resort. Have a great season guys!
